Savvvana

Member Standards

These standards exist because Savvvana is a trust-based community. Every member has been invited, vetted, and welcomed on the basis that they will uphold them.

Savvvana runs on a single principle: unlocking. Every member is here because someone chose to unlock the door for them. The expectation, and the only expectation that matters, is that you do the same for others.

These Member Standards are not a legal document dressed up as community values. They are a direct expression of how Savvvana works. By accepting them, you are agreeing to the terms of your membership, including the conditions under which it may be reviewed or ended.

§1

The Principle of Unlocking

Membership in Savvvana is predicated on contribution. Not passive participation. Not observation. Contribution: the active unlocking of opportunity, access, and connection for other members.

This is not aspirational language. It is a measurable commitment.

Every member is expected to make a minimum of three meaningful unlocks per membership year. An unlock is any action through which you create real, tangible value for another member: an introduction that leads somewhere, a deal opened, a role filled, a collaboration initiated, access granted.

The three-unlock floor is the baseline. Members who consistently operate below it, taking from the community rather than contributing to it, undermine the trust model on which Savvvana is built. This is the first ground on which membership may be reviewed.

§2

Confidentiality

What happens inside Savvvana stays inside Savvvana.

This applies to all community communications, member profiles, conversations in shared spaces, and any information shared by members in confidence or in the course of community activity. You may not share, publish, forward, or reference the content of any member interaction outside the community without the explicit consent of the person involved.

The confidentiality rule covers: member contact details and profile information; content of conversations in community channels, events, and sub-groups; deal flow, business ideas, and commercial information shared by members; and any personal disclosures made in the course of community participation.

Breaching confidentiality in any form, whether by direct disclosure or by creating a context in which private information becomes accessible to parties outside Savvvana, is a breach of these Standards and grounds for immediate membership review.

This rule does not prevent you from acting on connections and opportunities created through Savvvana. It prevents you from compromising the people who trusted you with access to make them.

§3

Conduct Within the Community

Savvvana is a professional and personal network. Members are expected to engage with one another with the respect, honesty, and care that serious people extend to serious colleagues.

There is no exhaustive list of unacceptable behaviour here. The standard is simpler: act in a way that you would be comfortable defending if your conduct were reviewed. Act in a way that reflects the standard of the community you were invited into.

Specifically: no harassment, no discrimination, no bad-faith dealings, no misuse of community access for personal gain at the expense of other members, and no conduct that damages the reputation or cohesion of the community.

§4

Membership Review and Termination

Membership in Savvvana is a privilege, not a right. It can be reviewed or ended.

The conditions under which a membership review may be initiated include:

  • Failure to meet the three-unlock-per-year floor over a sustained period, as assessed at the discretion of Savvvana's founding team
  • Breach of the confidentiality rule
  • Conduct that harms another member or the community at large
  • Material misrepresentation at the time of application or subsequently
  • Any conduct that brings the community into disrepute

A membership review may result in a formal conversation, a warning, suspension of access, or permanent termination of membership. The severity of the response will be proportionate to the breach, but Savvvana's founding team reserves the right to terminate membership without notice in cases of serious or repeated violation.

Acceptance of these Member Standards constitutes your acknowledgment that you understand and accept these conditions, including the conditions under which your membership may be ended without appeal.
§5

Updates to These Standards

Savvvana may update these Member Standards as the community evolves. Members will be notified of material changes. Continued participation in the community following notification of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Standards.

These standards are not a ceiling. They are a floor. Members who take them seriously, who genuinely unlock, who hold confidence, and who conduct themselves with integrity, are what Savvvana is built on.
