Savvvana
Member Standards
These standards exist because Savvvana is a trust-based community. Every member has been invited, vetted, and welcomed on the basis that they will uphold them.
Not a rulebook. A shared understanding of the bar we hold.
Active membership in Savvvana means practising the unlocking principle. The society’s recognition system, the seed arc, reflects how consistently and meaningfully you do that over time. The standards below describe the other dimensions of what active membership looks like.
Membership
Active
You are engaged and contributing. Full access to everything Savvvana offers: the community, events, the directory, Savvvana Partners, and Savvvana Collective.
Reflective
Life gets full. If your engagement has been low, you will hear from the Member Experience team, not as a sanction, but as a check-in. A Reflective period lasts 90 days. Full privileges are retained throughout. A member who re-engages within the window is restored to Active with no record of the lapse carried forward.
Alumni
A member who was not able to re-engage after a Reflective period. Alumni members retain their directory listing and access to the community brief. Members in good standing may return after six months.
Founding Member
A permanent recognition for those who joined during the launch window. Independent of status. The founding cohort shaped what this became, and that is not forgotten.
Confidentiality
Savvvana is a private society. Members do not publicly identify themselves as Savvvana members on social media or any public platform without prior consent from the membership team. The member directory is internal and is not shared outside the community.
A breach of this standard will result in a direct conversation with the membership team. A second breach moves the member to Alumni status immediately.
Leaving and Returning
Any member may leave Savvvana at any time by written notice to the membership team. Alumni members retain their directory listing unless they request removal.
A member may be removed for conduct that materially damages Savvvana or its members, or that is judged by the society’s leadership to be fundamentally inconsistent with the unlocking principle. This is a last resort, not a first response.
A former member who left in good standing may reapply after six months.
What Counts as Unlocking
Making an introduction that opened a real door. Spending meaningful time with someone on a defined challenge where your input made a material difference. Helping someone fill a senior role, a board seat, or a founding team slot. Sharing knowledge or a hard-won lesson through the community brief or a member session. Hosting a gathering where members exchanged real value. Passing a speaking opportunity to someone who could not have accessed it otherwise. Championing a member’s work in a setting where they are not present to speak for themselves.
If what you did transferred something real to someone who needed it, and you did it because it was right, it counts. The community, not a formula, is the standard.
